« The Rosewater Park Legend » is the debut album of Profane Burial, a new Symphonic Black Metal project from Norway.
Founded in 2013 by Kjetil Ytterhus (Omnia Moritur) and André Aaslie (Funeral, Images At Twilight, Abyssic a.o), with the aim to merge cold Black Metal with epic and solemn orchestrations, the duo is later joined by Jostein Thomassen (Fracture), the up and coming drummer Bjørn Dugstad Rønnow (Fight The Fight, Trollfest...) and the very experienced vocalist Ronny Thorsen (known from such acts like Trail Of Tears and Blood Red Throne a.o), to bring this first album to life with talent.
« The Rosewater Park Legend » delivers a somptuous and classy result, rarely seen in the genre.

I find Zornheym's distinctive brand of eccentric yet instantly gratifying symphonic black/death metal to be pretty much irresistible. So even though I originally picked up a CD copy of this album back when it came out, when I saw it going for such a low price on Bandcamp I couldn't help but grab myself a digital copy as well. Great stuff. Anthony Cooper
